Founded in 1925 by trailblazers of Oregon’s business and automotive communities, the annual
Gearhart Business Seminarhas long united industry leaders from across the Northwest. More than just a business gathering, the event is a celebration of camaraderie, connection, and shared tradition.
This year, we proudly mark the 100th anniversary, taking place September 1–5, 2025 at the historic McMenamins Gearhart Hotel, Gearhart By the Sea, and Gearhart Golf Links.

Exciting updates for the 100th event:
New Monday Kickoff
This year, the event will begin on Monday. Dealers and strategic partners (by invitation) will travel by Sternwheeler from Rainier to Astoria. From there, they’ll be transported by coach to Gearhart, where their vehicles will already be waiting for the drive home on Friday morning. The evening will feature our signature putting challenge and entertainment.
New Tuesday Tournament
On Tuesday, we’re introducing a Ryder Cup–style match play tournament in place of the traditional honey pot competition. This new format is optional and will include a registration fee. More details coming soon!
Tuesday evening we’ll return to the familiar schedule and traditions we all know and love!
